Janna has worked in the field since 2010 and continues to build her knowledge through courses and conferences on functional breathing, orofacial myofunctional therapy, airway and facial growth and development, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD or jaw joint dysfunction), sleep, and tethered oral tissues such as tongue-ties and lip-ties.
Janna is also a lecturer and is passionate about educating dental and allied health professionals about breathing and oral dysfunction. She has lectured alongside allied health professionals, dentists including Dr Shehab Faragallah, Dr Jessica Waller and Dr Sylvia Lee, and orthodontists such as Dr Derek Manohy.
As a mother of two young children, Janna relates naturally to both children and parents. Her kind, gentle and playful approach helps even young or shy children engage with their programs. Outside work and family life, she enjoys crafts, nature and photography.
Dr Giovana Nucifora
Dentist and Myofunctional Therapist

Giovana is a myofunctional therapist and dentist registered in Australia, with a strong interest in integrative health. She graduated as a general dentist from the University of São Paulo in Brazil, where she contributed to published scientific projects and explored complementary approaches to dental care, including acupuncture.
As part of her dental education, Giovana studied early preventative pre-orthodontic treatments, using expansion and other early intervention techniques to guide craniofacial development during a child’s active growth years, an approach commonly adopted in Brazil.
After practising general dentistry for two years, Giovana moved to the Gold Coast, Australia. There, she discovered myofunctional therapy and the connection between breathing and oral function while completing a two-year apprenticeship with holistic airway dentist Dr Shehab Faragallah at Gold Coast Holistic Dental Care. She later took time away from clinical work to focus on motherhood.
As a dentist, Giovana is passionate about prevention. She provides early interceptive orthodontic care for children in primary dentition (aged 4-7), in her capacity as a dentist, to support healthy craniofacial growth and development during their most formative years.
Giovana is continually motivated by the link between oral health and overall wellness. Through mentorship with Janna Kremez, she now combines her dental expertise, curiosity for natural therapies and compassionate care to address concerns related to breathing, sleep and oral function. She provides online myofunctional therapy sessions to clients aged 7 and older.
Outside motherhood and work, Giovana enjoys walking, reading and creating art when time allows, although art can become wonderfully messy with a toddler nearby.
Ingrid Seibert
Oral Health Therapist and Myofunctional Therapist

Ingrid graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Oral Health Therapy from Griffith University in 2009. She has a special interest in paediatric dentistry, with an emphasis on a functional and holistic approach. This led her to further study in orofacial myofunctional therapy, which has been her passion since 2011.
Ingrid takes a whole-person view of children’s oral health. She considers not only what is happening inside the mouth, but also how the mouth, tongue, jaw and facial muscles influence breathing, eating, sleeping, and growth and development.
She is committed to ongoing education and research so she can continue to provide the best possible care for the children and families she works with. Since graduating, Ingrid has worked alongside leading experts in functional dentistry and myofunctional therapy, including the Myofunctional Research Centre and the Tongue Tie Institute. She has also lectured internationally alongside orthodontists.
Ingrid is proud to be part of the team at Functional Well-being, where she provides online myofunctional therapy to clients aged 7 and older, bringing her experience and family-centred approach to every program.
Originally from Brazil, Ingrid has called the Gold Coast home since 2002. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, swimming, cooking and travelling.
